Join the PTA Student Advocacy Program

 Deadline extended to 1/22/18!

Are you interested in the legislative process or maybe a career in politics? Would you enjoy meeting with policy makers and advocating for issues related to public education in California?

Huntington Union Council PTA is looking for interested sophomores, juniors and seniors to participate in its Student Advocacy Program. The goal of the program is to promote the collaboration and engagement of high school students and policymakers in decisions affecting K-12 education. It is designed to develop informed student advocates who realize their ability to effect change.

This program will prepare students for “real world” advocacy experience in the
public sector. This is a great chance to experience advocacy in action and to have an impact on your education. The 4 week program will begin in February 2018.
